Friday night Bob and I drove to Winchester to try the new Jazz Man restaurant that opened earlier this month next to Wal-Mart on the By-Pass. There was an hour wait, so we decided to try it another time.
We know it will be awesome. James Baker had the Jazz Man Cafe on Main Street in Winchester for a couple of years then moved to the Days Inn.
Now he’s back.
Friday night’s wait would have been worth it, but we decided to drive down to Boonesboro to Hall’s on the River, since it had been a while since we were there.
Instead we ended up at The Waterfront.
It’s right under the bridge and where motorcycle riders gather on Thursday nights. The Waterfront staff grills burgers for the motorcycle group and Bob and his Harley riding buddy Larry Pennington rave about the burgers.
So on Friday night as we neared The Waterfront, I decided it would be a good time to try one of the burgers.
It was a good burger. I’m not sure it would have tasted as good if I had eaten it indoors. It’s a smoking facility.
But I can say it was a great burger because we sat on the deck on a warm night, overlooking the Kentucky River, and sipping Ale-8-Ones.
