Migdalia’s in Paris opened a year ago, and the owners have been so busy this holiday season they haven’t had time to celebrate. “We plan to do something in January,” Amy Carpenter told me on Friday night.
We went to dinner at Migdalia’s with friends Margie and Paul Purdon and then got a tour of the historic building Amy and Nadir Aich have completely renovated. The old commercial building has been a number of businesses, including several restaurants and a bowling alley.
The restaurant and bar at 500 Main Street was busy on Friday night with a lot of regular customers, but for the holidays, the second and third floors of the historic building are booked for private parties. The 11-foot ceilings and original flooring make the building very appealing for holiday events.
Amy has been catering for a number of years, and now with the restaurant and a 15-month-old daughter, she still managed to find time to decorate the 10-foot tall Christmas tree on the second floor.
