Midway’s Fall Festival on Saturday and Sunday will have a new area devoted to Kentucky farmers.
It will be in a lot between Midway Market and the Honest Farm “Pure Kentucky” Market, just off Dudley Street.
Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Here are some of the participating farmers and food producers:
- Honest Farm will have white half runners, MacIntosh apples, ornamental corn swags, mums, Chipotle Chics hot sauce and salsas.
- Bluegrass Meadows Beef will have 100 percent grassfed Belgium Blue freezer beef from Franklin County. They will be cooking samples and offering hamburger, choice steaks and roasts.
- Richard Larsen of Versailles will have potted plants.
- Erik and Gayle Walles, owners of Berries on Bryan Station will have raspberries, heirloom peppers, and sweet potatoes.
- Vito’s will have Italian sausages made from an old family recipe using Kentucky raised meats.
- Belinda Lindsey of Creekside Garden in Falmouth will prepare fresh vegetable dishes.
- Steve Shepperson and Russ Johns of Danville will have fresh roasted corn, caramel apples and fudge.
